This high quality, low cost memory expansion doubles your Commodore Amiga 500 computer's memory. Extra memory is essential for many games which require 1MB of RAM to work.
System RAM will be increased from the standard 0.5MB (512kb) to 1MB (1 megabyte).
Installation is straight forward process: simply slot the A500™ memory expansion into the trapdoor slot. The trapdoor bay is covered by a small plastic door underneath the Commodore Amiga 500 computer which can be easily levered open. There is no need to unscrew, open or disassemble your computer.
Memory expansion features an integrated Real Time Clock.
The Real Time Clock module's on-board battery ensures that the Amiga 500 retains the correct system date and time even when the computer is powered down. Battery backed using CR2032 coin cell battery for extra longevity.

Important note about inferior third-party expansions: our official A500™ Memory Expansion features resistor arrays on board to limit the rising/falling edge of some high speed signals. Without these noise can be introduced and result in memory working unreliably. Unlike our tried-and-tested design, some third-party budget boards cut costs and do not feature the resistor arrays which can lead to memory reliability issues.
Fully tested on revision 5 and 6A motherboards.
